In one of the strangest stories to come out of the educational world in quite some time, Shelley College in northern England has banned makeup for its 13-16-year-old students when school officials became concerned that the girls were spending too much time touching up their makeup in the bathroom, according to DigitalJournal.com.
The school contends that the move to ban makeup and temporarily remove mirrors in the bathrooms was an effort to encourage the girls to focus on their studies and conform to the institution's "discreet" makeup policy.
The students have fought back by saying that "too little makeup can be just as bad as none at all." They also cited that wearing makeup gives them the confidence they need to be able to focus on their schoolwork in the first place.
Instead of fussing in front of the mirror, these girls could have given their look an instant boost with blinc Mascara. This hassle-free product protects encases your lashes in beauty tubes for a superior hold that will protect your cosmetics from flaking or smudging throughout the day.
