If you're looking for ways to spice up your eye makeup routine, you might want to pay attention to what's been happening on the fashion runways. If you saw Peter Som's Spring 2012 show, you probably remember how the models had bold stripes of eyeliner in the creases of their eyelids. If you're curious about how it would look on you, Glamour Magazine's beauty blog broke it down into a few simple steps.
While you should use a thin line of liquid eyeliner along your upper lash line, you should use a pencil eyeliner to create the stripe in your creases, as it can easily be softened. Just use a brown or plum shade to create a banana-shaped horizontal slash slightly above each crease. This will highlight the shape of your eye.
If it looks a bit too harsh, soften it up with a blending brush. You might want to add a bit of shimmery shadow on your lids and under your eyebrows for a bit more contrast. After that, just use a heated eyelash curler to give your lashes lasting curve, then apply two coats of blinc's tube mascara for longer, thicker lashes. Think you'll give it a try?
