It's pretty much a given that you'll look great in pictures if you stick to using your blinc tube mascara and liquid eyeliner, which won't smudge or run no matter what. But what about the rest of your makeup? If you go too heavy-handed with the application, you might end up looking a lot different in a photo than you did in the mirror. Here are a few ways you can ensure a flattering shot.
1. Go sheer on the lips. According to Allure Magazine, too much color or shine can look jarring with a camera's flash. Sheer formulas give you the perfect hint of both.
2. Use blush to avoid looking flat. A touch of creamy blush on the apples of your cheeks, along with a bit of highlighter along the cheekbones, gives your face dimension.
3. Translucent powder. Powder can get rid of excess oil, which makes your face look greasy in pictures, but a tinted powder will show up. Dust a translucent formula over your face instead, which will remain invisible.
